The successful candidate will be responsible for the accuracy, relevancy and timeliness of his/her output. S/he should have had experience in financial journalism. Strong English language skills are essential. POSITION OVERVIEW and RESPONSIBILITES: * To produce high quality news content as per the defined parameters for timelines, quality, accuracy and completeness. * Add editorial value to the content, such that it becomes more relevant to the Thomson Financial customers. * Use appropriate language skills to understand and source financial information * Adherence to content editorial policies and procedures * Use available tools to the best advantage. REQUIRED SKILLS: * 1+ years of financial journalism/ editorial experience with a reputed firm * Exposure to financial domain (capital markets, investment banking, investment management) especially on Financial content. * Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) * Excellent writing and editing skills (English language) * Good team player who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Good educational background. * Ability to generate ideas to improve the effectiveness/relevancy of the news content * Detail-orientation: good copyediting skills as well as being able to follow and understand the numbers through a report. EDUCATION AND NECESSARY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in finance or business 1+ year of financial journalism/editorial experience 3 years and above of overall work experience Strong English language skills are essential
