Private Equity Attorney (Gurgaon, India) A leading global investment and technology development firm, seeks an India-qualified lawyer with six or more years of legal experience for the firms Private Equity group in its Gurgaon, India office. Responsibilities will include counseling the group in connection with private investment transactions in a variety of industries. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Hindi and have at least three years of experience managing deals and advising private equity funds and their sponsors. Experience with the Indian Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999; the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Disclosure and Investor Protection) Guidelines; and the Indian Companies Act, 1956 is required. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally intelligent, creative, and hard-working; and will possess superior writing and analytical abilities, impressive organizational skills, and an obsessive concern for detail. Candidates must be able to work both independently and collegially as part of a team.
