Develop and implement purchase and procurement strategies for engineering equipment and technical goods for multiple engineering and construction projects.Ensure that all contracting and procurement activities are conducted in accordance with policy and sound, ethical, business practices.Utilize strong negotiation skills to maximizing the value of investments while minimizing risk and liability exposure.Work closely with the Project Management Office, Project Engineering Department, construction management firms; Facilities, Maintenance and Finance departments to ensure all project / budget requirements and schedules are met.Vendor development at global and local level, Alternative vendor development, indigenous vendor development etc.Maintain an in-depth knowledge and awareness of local; national and international supply markets and vendors.Instrumental in the selection and appraisal of suppliers from the preferred vendor. database and performance measurement of the same.Take part and assist in supplier and service provider negotiations.Conducting techno commercial evaluation of offers and Cost Estimation.Finalization of the offers in the budgeted cost and Releasing Orders.Follow-up and expedite the delivery.Ensure that there is no delay in execution on account of procurement..B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in Capital Goods / Equipments Purchase and Procurement preferably from the Chemical / Petrochemical / Hydrocarbon IndustryShould have ability and skills to handle independently all raw materials procurement activities of site.
