Job Profile : To manage the maintenance of the utilities at the plants, as also management of the new projects at both the plants. Help the project manager with machine maintenance as and when required. Oversee the breakdown maintenance of the machinery. Plan the preventive maintenance so that the machinery is working in the best condition. Forklift maintenance. Maintain a detailed record of all the maintenance done. Check the logbook of various machine readings. Plan and co-ordinate with the production department regarding when the preventive maintenance can be carried out. Plan and maintain sufficient stocks of the frequently used spares. Manage the procurement of spares, raise purchase requisitions, negotiate with suppliers and also follow up for the payments due to the suppliers. Budgeting Suggest and implement cost reduction techniques wherever possible. Monitor the wear and tear of the machinery and try and predict their working life and predict when the maintenance should be carried out. Handling the initial phase of various projects along with the consultants and hand them over to the production department.
