This position is responsible for the development and management of business analysis and functions that evaluate, design, and deliver information-based solutions supporting one of the Fortune 300 companies. This position also provides impact assessments of business requirements and new technology solutions, as well as prioritization of decisions on various business functions or processes.Modeling and Analytics/Decision Science Best Practices- Design, develop, implement, and document information-based decision logic.- Develop, implement, and document predictive modeling solutions that feed decision logic.- Simulate business impacts of implementing and/or changing models and/or decision logic.- Apply appropriate experimental design rigor and methods supporting in-market offer/product tests.- Develop, document, and communicate business-driven analytic solutions and capabilities.- Manage dataset creation including data extraction, derived and dependent variable creation, and data quality control processes for analytics and model development and validation.- Provide training and manage work being done by less experienced modeling staff and outside vendorsRelationship Management- Engage Business Partners to ensure analytic solutions are appropriate to existing business processes and level of readiness.- Manage Business Partner expectations regarding modeling and analytic deliverables.- Coordinate and prioritize business needs in a matrix management environment.- Translate modeling and analytic output into understandable and actionable business knowledge. Production and Execution- Track and report model and decision logic execution performance.- Coordinate requirements definition between production/execution team(s) and Business Partners- Provide business value oversight for all analytic and production requests.- Track and document the data generation design and execution for list execution projects.- ensures flawless execution of the capabilities and servicesProject Management- Develop and manage project plans with timelines of up to 90 days, including tasks, resource requirements, and milestones.- Collaborate in development and management of business updates and communicate reports on progress against plans.Unique Knowledge and Skills- Experience in econometric modeling with very large data sets for implementation in production systems (e.g. marketing,, default, fraud, underwriting, acquisition or profitability decision modeling) (2+ years). - Strong SAS skills in both data manipulation and various SAS packages (e.g. SAS/STAT), experience with SAS E-Miner.- Post Graduate degree in economics, financial economics or statistics with focus on econometrics.- Ability to identify and apply the appropriate analytic technique to successfully answer a particular question or address a particular business problem.- Strong Project Management skills demonstrated through proven results of managing diverse teams of people at various levels without direct reporting authority.- Demonstrated ability to lead complex analytical projects: From managing the business relationship, coordinating appropriate resources, implementing decision logic into production, and tracking/reporting model/decision performance.- Proven flexibility and adaptability in effectively driving results in an environment of changing priorities.- Mainframe and Distributed Systems knowledge.- History of setting and achieving goals/targets.- Ability to think globally and strategically.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.Critical Challenges of this Position- Drive change by developing and fostering relationships with people from various organizations and levels in order to gather and document requirements, clarify expected business results, and manage expectations in support of the implementation of information-based decision processes.- Translate and communicate complex analytical and modeling results into understandable and actionable business knowledge.- Research and understand competitors and industry standard practices to enable implementation and execution that differentiates from its competitors.Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills Required- Managing teams of people from various organizations to drive completion of assigned objectives on time and budget.- High level and detailed definition of business requirements from broader concepts.- How to deal with conflict within and between business partner organizations in the most effective and efficient manner while maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all involved parties (this would include determining when and what escalation procedures to use).- Determine presentation of user content and design needed to support related operations areas.Designation and Number of Open Positions4 Positions Can be considered for Senior Associate, Team Leader or Group Leader, as per experience levels:- Team Leader (3-5 years of relevant work experience)- Group Leader / Manager (7-8 years of relevant work experience)
