SUMMARY of JOB RESPONSIBILTIES: Provide application development services and some deep level support for the global services applications used in the NCR Worldwide Customer Service Division (WCS). The individual will participate on a 4-6 member team in India that will include a 5-7 member IT team based in the US. The overall team will be responsible for developing and supporting the applications in both the test and production environments. The individual must have an applications development background in PL/SQL, preferably worked in the Logistics (Parts Handling), Billing/Dispatching applications or in Oracle Applications Purchase order and Order Maintenance Module. This job requires a highly motivated individual with excellent analysis and problem solving skills and preferably a strong software development background. The individual must have a strong desire to learn new skills and constantly evolve existing ones. The individual will be expected to interact with the US development team resources and the combined support team (US and India) to promote information sharing, to develop quality software and to potentially ensure the stability and performance of the service systems applications as well. This position involves some interaction with NCR IT and business associates in the functional areas of logistics, service delivery etc. The individual must be willing to undergo a training period working with existing team members at the NCR facility in India. Training will include knowledge transfer of the application, the technology and, of the software development / engineering processes used to ensure the team delivers to their commitments of on time and with quality. Opportunities will exist for the incumbent to rotate in other projects/teams. Functional Responsibilities and Skills Required: Must have practical experience in specifically Service Delivery primarily Dispatching, Billing (Contracts), or Logistics (Parts Handling) types of applications or Oracle Applications primary into Purchase order or Order Maintenance Module. Must be proficient in Sonic ESB / SOA. Must be proficient in PL/SQL programming language. Must be proficient in UNIX shell programming for Sun Solaris. Responsible for developing and supporting applications using Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX and knowledge of ESB/SOA and JAVA is a plus. Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting on complex application problems. Identify root causes for technical problems and resolve through support and development process. Work closely with the US team to ensure we develop and deploy requirements on time and with quality. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language. Individual will on occasion need to provide applications support in concert with the US and NCR India support team where necessary. Strong Problem Solving and Analysis Skills and a strong teaming orientation are required. Analysis, design, and systems development experience required.Desired Education/Experience to perform the function: B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Additional degrees a plus. Minimum of 2 years working experience in the following areaso PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Programming (Sun Solaris operating system) Minimum of 2 years working experience in at least one of the following functional areaso Logistics (Parts Handling) types of applications or Oracle Application Purchase Order and Order Maintenance Module. o Should have very good understanding of Oracle Database and Table structure
