Human Resources Schools educate professionals in the duties related to hiring and terminating employees, and overseeing employees' compensation, benefits, and working conditions. The Human Resources worker acts as a liaison between the employer and other employees, playing an important and vital role in business.

A college education in Human Resources will culminate in a Master's of Business Administration (MBA), with an emphasis on Human Resources, Personnel, Labor Relations, Human Resources Administration and Management, Training and Development, or Compensation and Benefits. Courses may be found in departments of human services, organizational development, communication, business administration, education, instructional technology, or public administration. Human Resources instruction includes professional development, labor law, collective bargaining, labor economics, benefits planning, business administration, public administration, psychology, sociology, political science, economics, statistics, computers, information technology, and much more.

Human Resources positions can be one of the most lucrative of administrative positions, with Human Resources managers pulling down annual salaries of $60,000-$90,000 or more, depending on the company and the qualifications of the individual.
