HiGreetings from MoxieIT Consulting!!We have an urgnet requirement with one of our Product based Client in Hyderabad for the Position of Database Administrator (DBA).Position Summary and Primary Objectives Perform day-to-day database administration related activities. Actively participate in database design and implementation meetings. Define backup and recovery procedures and implement them. Database tuning and SQL optimization. Maintain development, testing and production database environments. Main Duties / Key Accountabilities Develop expert-level knowledge on the product line. Communicate technical design requirements, constraints, functionality, and implementation details verbally and in formal documentation to higher-ups. Design technical proof of concept testing. Resolve technical issues in assessment, solution design and implementation. Provide knowledge transfer to peer developers. S/he will aid in project scoping and SOW development. Create assessment questionnaires and other forms of written deliverables. Support the development, testing and production related database scripts. Should be responsible for writing migration scripts in SQL during product upgrades. Should be very comfortable in configuration management tools like VSS, SVN, CVS etc. Requirements: Education, Training and Experience . Must be a certified DBA. Strong on SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL. Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 is preferred. Must have minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience as a DBA. Overall technical leadership in at least 3-4 major projects is necessary. A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering is required. Personal Attributes and Skills Required . This position requires good verbal and written communication skills. .
