Job Title: Branch ManagerReports to: Territory ManagerSpan of control: SDM/ BDM/ ASMOverall Purpose of the job: To manage a team of SDM/ BDM/ ASM to maximize sales and help achieve the Branch targets.Job Description:To help achieve branch targets through his team of SDM/ BDM/ ASMDevelopment of the sales network.Assist BM in chalking sales / marketing strategies for the Branch/city.Help Recruit/induct SDMs and develop potential SDM/ BDM/ ASMMaking Joint sales call with the SDM/ BDM/ ASM, when required and develop/hone their selling skills.Provide leadership and management for the SDM/ BDM/ ASM.Establish and maintain high standards of sales quality, as measured by productivity, customer complaints and repeat business.Responsible for recruitment of consultants to agreed profiles and within the stipulated time frame so as to achieve Business plan targets for the Branch. Establish activity and sales reporting mechanisms to Company standardsJob specifications:Educational Qualifications: MBA in Mktg./Fin. with good academic record.Experience:6-8 years of experience in retail sales with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. Experience of sales in a Finance industry is desired.Past record of achievement in motivating others towards ambitious targets and higher levels of performance.Strong Leadership qualities and evidence of your ability to motivate coach and mentor others.A breadth and diversity of knowledge of the market place.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Key Competencies: Budgeting proficiency: Principles, methods, tools, techniques for preparation and monitoring of budgets to ensure cost effectiveness.Resource Allocation: Ability to optimally utilise the available resources so as to achieve the common goal/objectivesDecision Making: making decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information.Strategic Perspective: Keeping overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected by matters of detail. Would be useful for him to be engaged by the details also, and not just be a strategic thinker.Cross Functional and Inter disciplinary awareness: Understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.Excellent understanding of the functional structure of businesses and other organizations; their mission, objective, strategies and critical success factors.
