Some Graduates Lie More On CVs
A pre-employment screening company based in London, UK has just completed a survey into CV embellishment in the financial services sector. They found, amongst other things, that the standard of university an applicant went to has an impact on how likely they are to lie on their CV.
Graduates from the lowest ranked UK universities lied on their CV 43% of the time, whereas graduuates from top 20 universities only lied 12% of the time.
There was also a link between the subject studied at university and the rate of falsifications on CVs.
Graduates of maths and maths based subjects had very low discrepancy rates, whereas arts and humanitiies students have a much higher rate of embellishment (22%).
To see the rest of the survey then simply type 'powerchex' into google, and click on the survey link on their homepage - easy!!! There are a fair few others interesting findings so its well worth a look!! A
