Sara Edwards has been appointed HR and change director at world-famous London home and fashion retailer Liberty. Edwards will take up her new position on 1 January 2008, leaving her post as vice-president of HR at the Maybourne Hotel Group, which owns Claridge's and the Connaught, after eight years at the firm. She has been charged with bringing about a culture change at Liberty to make it a leader its sector. Liberty chief executive Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye said: "I am delighted we have been able to attract such a talented and dynamic executive to the Liberty team. "Sara's appointment forms part of a strategy to make the Liberty brand synonymous with excellent service and luxury."
