£10m National Aviation Training Academy opened by Marshall Aerospace Business Aviatio
Marshall*Aerospace Business Aviation is to open a £10m training facility for aviation engineers. The Integrated National Aviation Training Academy is based at Robin*Hood Airport in Sheffield. The facility has been built by aviation training firm Directions*Finningley with funds from regional development agency Yorkshire*Forward and the European*Union. The academy already delivers 150 aviation-related courses and will be capable of both aerospace manufacturing type-rated approval courses and engineer licence education and qualifying. Richard Smith, managing director of Directions, said: “The arrival of Marshall Aerospace will bring a new dynamic to the region through its industry-renowned training expertise and its world-leading maintenance, repair and overhaul activity and we look forward to working with it on both these two key business areas.”
